Welcome!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of music! I hope that by the end of the year, your child will have a new love for singing or playing the keyboards.
As we embark upon this "new normal" style of virtual teaching for the 2021-2022 school year, I want to reassure you that we are all in this together! Patience and understanding will be important as we learn this process and work together. At any moment you need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm here for you!!!
I am so pleased that you allowed your child to be a part of the Bellevue Middle choir, keyboarding, or general class(es), and I hope that your child not only learns the beauty of music, but also take the basic fundamental lessons of music: team work, responsibility, and discipline, and then apply them to every day life.
For me, music is my passion, my dream, my heart, and my everything! Because I had such wonderful, inspirational music teachers in middle and high school, I always knew that I wanted to teach and give back to today's youth. My goal is to leave the same impact on my students in music, as well as in life.
As a brief introduction, this 2021-2022 school year marks 8 years of teaching! I graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelors in Music in Music Education (Choral) in 2013. While at U of M, I received vocal lessons in classical music singing in different languages, such as German, Italian, French, Spanish, etc. I also received a great opportunity to study abroad in Germany/Austria in the Spring of 2011 with the University Singers. Fast forward, I am now a mother of a four year old son named Karter and recently married in February! I am hoping to further my education by receiving my Masters in Choral Conducting, and one day obtain a Doctorate in Music Education.
